About The Summit Dance Fund
The Summit Dance Fund's mission is to provide scholarships for local dancers to continue their dance education outside their small community. Through the fundraising efforts of local dancers and community members the Summit Dance Fund is able to provide scholarships for local dancers to train in Denver, New York, Los Angeles and beyond!
The Summit Dance Fund, Inc. works with local dancers and community members to raise scholarship funds each year. Past fundraisers have included selling cookie dough, selling ads in local community performance programs, and performances by scholarship winners. All work for the Summit Dance Fund is done on a volunteer basis - this includes all event staff, fundraisers and board members.
The Summit Dance Fund provides scholarships for education only - scholarship funds may not be used for competition entry fees, travel, food, or any other expenses associated with the program for which the scholarship was requested. The Summit Dance Fund does not grant scholarships to attend local (mainly Summit and Park County) programs. The mission of the Summit Dance Fund is to aid students in opportunities that arise outside our small community. The Summit Dance Fund wants to open new doors for local dancers - to help offset the cost of doing more than what their local program is able to offer. The Summit Dance fund is not designed to provide financial aid to attend local programs, which dancers are already enrolled in. Scholarship applicants need to be enrolled in a consistent school year dance program and be in healthy dancing shape to complete the program for which the scholarship is requested. Injured dancers may not apply for scholarships during their period of recovery. Scholarship applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
